Apple has been granted 23 new patents, covering Aperture, GarageBand and more.
Patently Apple reports that the Aperture related patent covers the image editing tool’s preview feature, and the GarageBand patent relates to the graphical user interface for music lessons.
In the patent documents, published by the US Patent and Trademark Office on Tuesday, Apple states: “GarageBand taught you how to play. Now it tests your chops. As you play along with any lesson, record yourself. GarageBand listens in real time and lets you know how you’re doing. You’ll see how well you played with colored notes, a progress bar, and a performance meter. You can check your rhythm and note accuracy, keep track of your progress, and beat your best score – all while perfecting your skills.”
