The Python toploader camera bag from Booq is a man-sized shoulder bag designed to impress, offering space enough for most serious camera enthusiast’s needs. Built to protect either a DSLR of any size with a larger lens attached, or a compact DSLR with a smaller lens attached, plus a second small lens or accessory, it's a solid, durable choice.

Made from 1680D ballistic nylon treated with a water-repelling coating, the Python comes with a plush red interior and enough padding to secure your camera and accessories on your travels without fear. Worthy of Aladdin's Cave, Booq has packed in as many pockets, zips and fasteners as possible to store memory cards, batteries, cables and the like. If you have an iPhone there's space for that as well.

A removable padded divider sits half way down the main section of the bag, which is just as well, as your camera can feel a little lost without it. It also brings some needed organisation to your accessories, either on your travels or as storage at home or in the studio. The Python comes with a comfortable 50 mm wide adjustable seatbelt-nylon shoulder strap.

Outwardly the Python isn't particularly flashy, with branding kept to a minimum, but its size is a big hint to prying eyes of the valuables inside. Booq offers a Terralinq serial number system, to link your bag's unique number with your details, if lost. While worthy, it's a leap of faith to believe this alone will reunite users with their camera and other valuables.

At around £80, the Python toploader is the most modestly priced of the current snake themed range of camera bags offered by Booq. Other bags accommodate MacBooks, iPads, additional lenses and even tripods, along with your camera. All are a serious investment, but hopefully one that will pay dividends over time, with a build that looks like it will last.
