Sony last week released the Mac version of EverQuest as a free trial download.

It's a massive 2GB download, but includes the original game as well as four expansion packs: Ruins of Kunark, Scars of Velious, Shadows of Luclin and Planes of Power.

Players can enjoy the game for free for 15-days, after which Sony levies a monthly subscription, the company's normal procedure with the game. Mac users do not play on the same servers as PC users.

Subscriptions cost $12.95 per month, or $35.85 for three months or $65.70 for six months.

System requirements inckude Mac OS X 10.2.5, 700MHz G4 processor (800MHz recommended), 256MB RAM (512MB recommended), 32MB Video RAM (64MB recommended) and 2.1GB available hard drive space.
