Market research firm Forrester on Friday released a report measuring customer's overall overall satisfaction with their computer manufacturer. Apple not only topped the list, they blew away the competition.
Apple's overall customer satisfaction rating was at 80 per cent, 14 points above the closest competitor, Gateway, who came in at 66 per cent.
HP and Compaq were pretty close with a 64 per cent and 63 per cent customer satisfaction rating, respectively.
Dell brought up the rear of the pack with a satisfaction rating of 58 per cent.
The rating was based on three categories: Useful, Easy to Use and Enjoyable. Apple dominated in each category scoring 82 per cent (Useful), 86 per cent (Easy to Use), and 72 per cent (Enjoyable).
Each of the other company's mentioned in the survey received at least one score in the 50 per cent range. Dell holds the distinction as the only company to get a mark below 50 per cent, scoring a 47 per cent in the Enjoyable category.
Forrester compiled the data from over 4,500 consumer surveys.

Buying a Dell was the biggest mistake I ever made. !0 callouts in 12 months. On the other hand, I've had dozens of Mac since 1984. In all that time, one power supply gave up and one PowerBook display had to be replaced. Zero viruses!

I have generally been lucky with PC's, Compaq, and Toshiba, (My p200 is a great multimedia notebook) However I use a Macbook Pro and Macbook Air and they are just beautifully made and great to use. No crashes or issues so i am happy as a Mac convert
