Imagine becoming famous for pissing on $36k worth of Apple laptops. That’s what’s happened for an 11-year-old student at Upper Allen Township Elementary in Pennsylvania.

The boy’s actions cost the lives of 30 MacBooks, there is some debate as to whether he managed to spray all of the computers so sufficiently that they stopped functioning, or if Apple will have deemed the urine soaked Mac’s a biohazard.

Cult of Mac suggests that the MacBooks are being written off because Apple refuses to service them now because it considers urine to be a biohazard.

Police charged the boy with institutional vandalism and criminal mischief and are turning him over to the Cumberland County Juvenile Probation Department.

His parents should be made to compensate the Macbook owners, and the child should be severely chastised for his stupid actions.

I would buy one in a second..I have used worse..it is urine for God;s sake and the likelihood of a biohazard is well..zero. Of course on a wet day three might be the odd reminiscent odour...lol. What silliness to destroy such tech over this. Animals will be animals and I suggest had one's dog or cat done this, a customer would clean it off or have the internal wiped also and put back into service.

Brat! The laptops will have been insured surely? - presumably they were school issue - so the parents really only need to compensate for the potential increase in premium. The kid can pay the parents back from his paper route.

Biohazard, now who's taking the piss? Have apple registered the ipiss yet? may be I will and bring it back in 5 colours, just like the old days when 11 year olds played in the street!

It should be explained to the boy that the use of profanity highlights a limited vocabulary - not ideal should he wish to become a journalist

Seriously, what's happening to the standard of journalism these days when you use the word "pisses" in a headline and article?!! Don't get me wrong, I swear like a trooper, but I don't expect words like this to appear in a publication - what's wrong with using "urinates" or "relives himself"?
