To mark the opening of its new Scottish store, Apple is launching a series of "Live From Glasgow" live music performances and promising a range of special in-store events.

Glasgow's Mac users are watching the progress of the store closely. Today, Mac user Alex Waddell has published images of the store, saying: "I happened to be passing the Glasgow Apple store this morning on my way into work and noticed that the black window covers have been removed, revealing the inside of the store to the world."

For Mac users who can't make the opening, one eagle-eyed Glaswegian Mac user has identified a webcam which looks at Buchanan Street, capturing images of the corner of the new store.

Some local Mac users are already planning to queue outside the store from 5am, in order not to miss the opening of Scotland's first Apple retail store.
