For you Mac users who are sick and tired of hearing about iPhone 3.0 this and iPhone 3G S that, don’t worry: Apple hasn’t forgotten about you. On Wednesday, the company released two minor updates to Mac - yes, Mac! - software.

Safari 4.0.1, available via Software Update or Apple’s Safari download page, is a small fix for the latest version of Apple’s Web browser.

The 43.8MB download features compatibility fixes for problems with Safari and iPhoto ’09, specifically those related to the photo software's Places feature and publishing pictures to Facebook.

It’d be nice if it returned the old progress bar, but like the song says, you can’t always get what you want.

Meanwhile, Bluetooth Firmware Update 2.0 is available from Software Update or Apple’s support downloads page. Weighing in at 1.78MB and requiring Mac OS X 10.5.7, the update fixes some bugs and improves compatibility with both the Apple Wireless Mighty Mouse and Apple WIreless Keyboard on all Macs with Broadcom-based Bluetooth chipsets.

Here’s hoping it does something to alleviate the constant “Connection Lost” messages I get with my Mac mini and my wireless keyboard.

That’s it. Now back to your regularly-scheduled iPhone coverage.
