Apple will open a new store in Brighton on Saturday, 25 July at 10:00 am, joining other retailers at Churchill Square.

The store is listed on the official Churchill Square shopping centre Web site and Apple Web site but appears to have been delayed since it first advertised job vacancies two years ago.

Apple may struggle to make the new Churchill Square store a hit.

In April, Currys Digital closed with the loss of 13 jobs, music and DVD chain Zavvi also shut after its parent company collapsed at the end of last year.

However, Soozie Campbell, Brighton's city centre manager, told The Argus local newspaper she believed the shopping centre remained popular.

"Churchill Square has been resilient and not really suffered in terms of footfall compared with the national average," she said.

"The vacancy rate is lower than it has ever been."

The Apple Store will be in competition will local Apple Resellers, who have already established businesses in Brighton.

The new Apple Store Churchill Square can be found on the Upper Mall, Churchill Square, Brighton, BN1 2TE. 01273 740 500.

Store hours are Mon - Wed: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Thu: 9:00 am to 8:00 pm
Fri - Sat: 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, Sun:11:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Woah don't go anywhere near Solutions unless you're wearing a wide brim and have a fast horse to ride off on - they're the biggest cowboys in the busines - famous for it locally!

Very glad to see Apple with us.

Apple opened a store in Leicester -resulting in closure of the well-established KRCS store. Will Cancom now be forced out in Brighton? I don't quite understand Apple's move in competing directly with well-established Apple suppliers.

All the existing apple shops in Brighton werent able to help me with an Apple problem, I went to the Apple Store in Oxford St. and they sorted me out with a free solution in about 5 minutes.

Can't wait for it to open!

Just another Apple Store and a poorly executed one at that.

I've used Solutions-Inc for years. Ignore 'The Man' who is clearly an idiot.

solutions inc are not friendly at all and were real mean robots wen my friend had a dodgy screen and most of the blokes (except the handsome one who is friendly too), at cancom are patronizing and don't want to give you info if you don't spend a lot of money, and then when you do they hav weird advise that doesn't match up with Apple's chat advise... so i hope this new shop gives better service...specially to girls.

I've used Solutions Inc for years. Always been happy with the service and i think anyone who is in the local area should use a local company before sending our money across the pond !

Much better than some of these so called "experts" who know nothing and pretend to know everything !
