The 13-inch MacBook Pro gains a Retina display; and is still remarkably thin and light.

Non-Retina MacBook Pro review

Apple has updated a pair of 13-inch and a pair of 15-inch non-Retina MacBook Pros. These new “regular” models offer a speed boost over their late-2011 predecessors thanks to brand new processors and video components, and feature updated technology, including USB 3.

MacBook Air 2012 review  Editors Choice

In a few short years, the Air has gone from an expensive technology demonstration to a successful product firmly established as the heart of Apple’s laptop line. This year’s models improve the appeal of the Air by increasing performance, enhancing expansion capabilities, and lowering prices. In fact, the new models might just be making the MacBook Pro line a little nervous.

MacBook Air (2011) review  Editors Choice

The MacBook Air has been a product in transition. When it was introduced in 2008, it was an oddity. An expensive and underpowered, yet incredibly thin and light 13 inch laptop. Last year's revision, which added a second USB port, upgraded the processor and introduced an 11 inch model was much more appealing.

MacBook Pro review (Early 2011)

It’s been nearly a year since Apple refreshed its MacBook Pro line. That’s a longer-than-usual gap between updates, but the new MacBook Pros sport several changes under the hood, including new processors, new graphics processors, and a new peripheral connector. It all translates into performance jumps that were worth the wait.
