The company promises an intuitive interface with professional features for recording, songwriting, remixing and DJing.
Users gain studio-quality recording up to 32-bit/192 kHz with support for 64 audio tracks and unlimited MIDI tracks within each project. Two software instruments - a synthesiser and drum sample kit - ship in the box.
The software includes MIDI sequencing for software instruments and offers over twenty built-in audio effects, including delays, filters, distortions, compressors and EQs. Support for VST, AU effects and instruments and automatic plug-in delay compensation also feature in the software.
Live 7 LE also provides real-time time-stretching and warping of AIFF, WAV, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC and MP3 files for DJing and instant remixing. The software is compatible with any MIDI controller.
The software also includes a huge variety of software instruments and loop construction tools. Ableton Live 7 LE is available for download now for €129. The boxxed version costs €169 and is available from Ableton’s website. Upgrades are also available.
