Apple plans major WWDC .Mac overhaul
Apple plans to re-brand its .Mac service under the MobileMe name, forwarding emails to existing .Mac users to the new servers "in perpetuity", a report explains.
TUAW claims Apple will cease selling .Mac once the new service is announced, speculating this news will emerge at WWDC next week.

MobileMe is expected to offer numerous new features, and to offer web-based interfaces for all aspects of the service, this report claims.
"Calendars will look just like iCal, Contacts will look just like they do in Address Book, etc. This is similar to the way .Mac webmail works today, though we've heard that the new interfaces will be much snazzier," TUAW reports.
MobileMe is scheduled to be available sometime in late June/early July. The iPhone is already being updated (within the as-yet unavailable iPhone Software 2.0) to support the service, which the report predicts will offer over the air syncing for iPhone users - and a Windows version of the service is also planned.
