Thu, 30 Oct 2008 Jackpot Casino review
A complete casino in one iPhone app
- Manufacturer: Chillingo
- Pros: Lots of different games to play, fun
- Cons: Lack of animation, some controls could be better
- Min specs: Requires an iPhone or iPod touch running 2.x software.
- Price: £3.49
- Star rating:
Casino addicts will be dying to get hold of a gambling game for their iPhone or iPod, and while the thrill of betting real money isn’t present with Jackpot Casino, at least that means the maximum you can lose is the £3.49 asking price.
Jackpot Casino offers craps, roulette, several poker games, blackjack, and a couple of slot machine games. All work pretty well - and come with occasionally confusing but ultimately decipherable instructions. On all the card games, the buttons are a bit close together, making it hard to be sure which one you’re hitting.
There are two slots games that are good for a quick time waste, but not much more. That’s the nature of this sort of title though - and at £3.49 it’s great for dreaming of Vegas on the train to work.
