The interface is simple. A scan tells you which programs store data about your use of the web, which software retains personal information and so on. Then you have the option to delete that data using a technique that overwrites the file seven times. If you really don’t want a file to be recovered, PrivacyScan’s secure option takes thirty five passes. Those private bytes are gone forever.
