Add stylish effects to your photographs with the click of a mouse

Previously known as ColourSplash, this new version of the app works in a number of different ways.

Firstly, when importing an image it’s turned into mono. From there you can either paint over it with single colours, turn it into sepia or a blue-tone shade, or strip off the mono to reveal the original colour.

On top of that, the original colour element can be manipulated with brightness, contrast, blur, saturation, hue and exposure controls. Elements using the tinting are unaffected by these adjustments and have their own parameters of brightness, contrast, blur and amount. Obviously this is using a mask to separate the two styles, but it’s invisible unless toggled on. The mask and effects can be cleared at will but there’s no remove mask brush.

There’s also three effects called Soft, Dreamy and Hard Light but they all simply add more contrast in ever-increasing amounts.

Painting over the background with a tint brush and increasing the contrast with the Soft effect to make it stand out more.
