Star Rating: rating of 3

Duration of ownership: 3 months

Strengths: free. Compatible with most MS Office docs. Can do complicated formulaes. Handles large spreadsheets better than Neooffice

Weaknesses: Crashes. Frequently.

Overall Evaluation: good solution for home use even if that includes large spreadsheets, but be prepared to restart regularly when it crashes...

Star Rating: rating of 4

Duration of ownership: 1 months

Strengths: Price, improved stability, increased column count in Calc, access to OpenDoc formats.

Weaknesses: Not MS Office - compatibility is imperfect

Overall Evaluation: This suite is available for PowerPC - see http://download.openoffice.org/other.html - but nobody has compiled an English version. I don't know how. The French version of OO 3.0 works fine.
