Macworld WWDC issue
Apple crammed a lot more into it’s Worldwide Developers Conference keynote than we thought was possible. Not only did the company reveal details of the new iPhone 3.0 software, Apple also took the wraps off an entirely revamped, lower-cost laptop range, previewed Snow Leopard – coming in September – and showed off the faster, more powerful iPhone 3G S.
We’ve got all the news about the WWDC announcements, as well as an in-depth look at what’s coming in Snow Leopard.
Just before WWDC Apple’s cheapest laptop had another makeover, gaining a faster 2.13GHz processor along with a bigger hard drive. It’s gone up £30 in price too, so we’ve taken a look to see if it’s worth the extra money.
If you’re not in the market for a new Mac, then it might be a good idea to brush up on your Mac maintenance skills. Our Troubleshoot like a Genius feature will show you how to keep your Mac in top condition.
The Macworld Masterclass section continues our series of tutorials on Aperture, Leopard Server and Final Cut Pro, and we introduce a new series on Photoshop. We’re excited to announce that the first live Macworld Masterclass events will be taking place this September at Pinewood Studios. Find out more here.
And the lessons don’t end there. In Secrets this month we have advice on taking photos in low light and six tricks that will help you troubleshoot your network.
As well as the MacBook, we also review Adobe Director 11, Canon’s new EOS 500D, and Ableton Live 8. Our group test this month is pocket projectors; can these tiny models match the specs of their larger siblings?
This issue’s cover disc includes an amazing £213 worth of free Mac software, plus two full games to keep you occupied.
