Amazon UK is listing Apple's iPhone on its UK store - but the product isn't being advertised as available for sale.

The giant online retailer has listed Apple products before launch in the past. At times it has let slip confidential details such as shipping date or final price in advance of any official announcement from Cupertino.

However, inclusion on the retail website isn't always an accurate reflection of any plans to ship a product. Amazon listed iLife 07 before Macworld San Francisco, but the software hasn't yet been announced.

The page detailing the iPhone simply states: "This item is not in stock or has been discontinued."

The store also lists details of the device, taken from Apple's existing iPhone marketing materials.
