Training specialists Amsys has announced a series of two-day courses in November, December and January, focusing on Apple's iPhone and iPad.
Apple iPhone/iPad: Supporting and Deploying in the Enterprise promises to cover all the skills necessary to deploy and support iPhones/iPads in enterprise.
The course is a mixture of theory and hands on and will cover both Apple and third party tools.
Attendees will learn how to configure the devices manually as well as creating payloads to automatically configure Apple's devices. The course will also cover all the enterprise services supported by iOS 4 as well as how to configure these services to best match the requirements of iOS 4.
The course will cover Exchange services such as active sync, remote wipe, Microsoft Direct Push services, Microsoft Autodiscovery services and Global Address List. The course will also look at VPN services, network security, certificates, LDAP services and CalDAV services.
Additionally, they will be a chance to learn about Apple's iPhone Configuration Utility. With this tool users will create and edit configuration profiles, install configuration profiles as well as update and remove configuration profiles.
The course will cover all managed settings including Passcode settings, restriction settings, WI-FI settings, VPN settings, Email settings, Exchange settings, LDAP servings, Calendar settings, SCEP settings, and advanced settings.
Apple iPhone/iPad: Supporting and Deploying in the Enterprise runs across two days and costs £695 plus VAT.
Amsys suggests responsible for the maintenance and deployment of iOS devices, and those who would like an overview of solutions available to deploy iOS devices, should attend.
