Apple iOS 7, its next mobile operating system for iPad and iPhone, finally adds the capability to zoom into live video.

We've covered the really big new features - Control Center, iTunes Radio, app multitasking and the ability to hide the Newsstand icon in a folder - but we seem to have missed the biggest of the lot. Yes, you can now zoom into a video while shooting it on your iPhone.

9to5Mac spotted the new feature, which iPhonoographers have been awaiting for years. It offers a real-time zoom of about 3x magnification: less than that offered by the stills camera but still a nice addition.

The site produced the video below to demonstrate the new video zoom, and it looks slick. Now you too can create exciting cinematic moments.
