Apple has announced a UK Black Friday sale for this week – 26 November – inline with the US. Black Friday is a term co-opted by retailers to refer to the time of year when their business moves into the black, or turns a profit.

The "special one-day Apple shopping event" will be available in stores and online with money off iPad, iPhone, iPod and Mac gifts promised.

Apple adds in an email: "And while you're there don't forget Apple Online Store Exclusives like free laser engraving for iPod or iPad, signature gift wrapping and Exclusively for Apple accessories from the likes of Mulberry, Liberty's and Paul Smith."

The small print notes: "Shopping event prices are solely available on 26 November 2010 and are subject to change. Promotional pricing cannot be combined with any other offers. Not all sale products are available in all Apple Retail Stores. Product specifications are subject to change. Sale prices are limited to stock on hand and while supplies last."
