Apple has revealed the shortlists for this year's iTunes Best Album 2010 and iTunes Best Song 2010.

"Choose from the year's 20 bestselling albums and songs on iTunes, plus five more notable releases chosen by iTunes music editors," Apple notes.

"The most popular will be named People’s Choice Album and Song of 2010. You'll be entered to win 10,000 songs on iTunes just for voting."

Steve Jobs favourite Alicia Keys, Biffy Clyro, Ellie Goulding, Eminem, Florence + The Machine, Glee Cast, Gorillaz, Kings of Leon, Lady GaGa, Mumford & Sons, Paolo Nutini, Pendulum, Plan B, The Black Eyed Peas, The Script, The xx, Tinie Tempah, JLS, Rihanna, Rumor, Take That and a band new to iTunes, The Beatles are among the Bestselling Albums of 2010.

3OH!3, Alicia Keys, B.o.B, Bruno Mars, Eliza Doolittle, Eminem & Rihanna, Flo Rida, Glee Cast, Iyaz, Jason Derülo, Katy Perry, Owl City, Lady GaGa & Beyoncé, Plan B, Rihanna, Taio Cruz, Tinie Tempah, Travie McCoy, Usher, olanda Be Cool & D Cup, Ellie Goulding, Florence + The Machine & Dizzee Rascal, JLS, Take That  and X Factor Finalists 2010 are the Bestselling Songs choices.

The winning album and song will be announced before Christmas.
