Apple will open its first retail store in Italy this month.

Apple's first retail store in continental Europe, the shop will be situated in Rome's all-new RomaEst shopping centre.

A local Italian report claims the store will open on 31 March.

The report cites the director of the RomaEst shopping centre, Federico Cimbelli who claims the centre will open on 31 March. Cimbelli confirms Apple will open its retail store that day at 9am (local time).

The store is situated in one of Italy's most prestigious shopping areas, and Apple will share space in the shopping centre with some of Europe's most prestigious brands.
