Apple may ship as many as 300,000 MacBooks in November, DigiTimes claims.
Citing the Chinese-language Commercial Times, the report explains that the release of a new breed of MacBook is expected to inject yet more energy into sales of the already successful Mac.
The news means that Apple will account for almost half the notebooks manufactured by Far East supplier Asustek, the report explains.
In fact, it observes, Apple's move to introduce new notebook configurations actually impacted its manufacturer's business in October. Asustek had been aiming to ship 600,000 notebooks (inlcuding, Apple notebooks) but achieved 500,000 shipments (from all its clients, including Apple), instead.
