Apple is discussing iPhone games with the casual gaming arm of Electronic Arts, a report claims.

The news would be a natural extension of Apple's existing range of gaming titles for the video iPod, and would introduce another feature to the company's touchscreen iPhone.

Other reports recently have claimed Apple may also introduce a range of games titles for the Apple TV.

Business Week quotes Electronic Arts Mobile senior vice president Mitch Lasky, who said: "We have been talking to Apple about games on (the iPhone). We see a lot of the technology that we've utilised on the iPod side being incorporated into the iPhone."

Lasky also talked up the potential for gaming on the iPod and iPhone, pointing out that both devices offer good graphics and have sufficient memory for some games already built in.
