Apple has deployed a site-wide update across its UK website, bringing the site's appearance in line with its new look US website.

The entire site now boasts a consistent user interface, emulating the look of Safari or iTunes.

Navigation across the site has been improved, with a search feature in the top right-hand corner of the site, and clearly marked links to other sections across the site.

The appearance of image links on the website has also been changed - images are now in widescreen format.

Navigation to elements situated down the right-hand side of the Apple Hot News page have been made more interactive - if you run your cursor across the topics listed there, drop down menus containing additional links to specific content appear.

The company's UK website team is understood to have been engaged in preparing the new look website for deployment for a significant length of time in recent weeks.
