Apple is the UK's eighth-strongest business brand, according to branding company, Superbrands.

The company released its list of the top ten business Superbrands last night. The list puts UK broadcaster the BBC at the top of the line, followed by Microsoft and British Airways.

BT (fourth), Google (fifth), BP (sixth) and Vodafone (seventh) also made the list, with Rolls-Royce and Hertz trailing Apple in ninth and tenth place, respectively.

Business Superbrands Council chairman Stephen Cheliotis, said: "Owning a strong brand is key to having a successful business, although the need to develop and invest in a brand has only recently been considered a priority in most business-business markets, making these winners even more noteworthy."

The full report will be published in the Sunday Telegraph.
