Apple's website picked up a few million more visitors last month, becoming the world's thirteenth biggest high-traffic website, according to ComScore Media Matrix.

Visits to the Apple website climbed from 31,873,000 visitors in September to 33,797,000 visitors in November, the researchers claim.

Shopping mattered in November, as nine of the ten top gaining categories for the month were retail-related. Online department stores represented the top gaining category in November (up 24 per cent to 70.6 million visitors), led by, which grew 64 per cent to 40.5 million visitors.

Yahoo Sites again retained the number one position, attracting nearly 130 million unique visitors, while WalMart surged into the top ten – claiming the number nine spot with more than 43 million unique visitors, a 59 per cent increase from October.
