Bath Spa University has deployed Macs to boost business skills and interdisciplinary learning – and Apple has published a profile of the project.

The University is attempting to teach work-based skills to its creative students, developing a new scheme called Artswork – a scheme which employs existing faculty skills as an Apple Authorised Training Centre for Education.

The Artswork scheme has been developed to offer work-focused training for the college's design students across multiple disciplines. The project offers six high specification learning laboratories, each featuring state-of-the-art facilities.

Students on the scheme get in-depth training in Macs, iLife and in Apple's professional applications using these facilities, and the college brings in expert speakers to help bring student skills up to speed.
