It looks like the pressure to compete with the Apple iPhone has had an effect on RIM. BlackBerry RIM screened a video, that could safely be described as 'strange' to developers at the BlackBerry Jam event.

The video portrays middle-aged management types singing a rock-song about its new build of the BB10 operating system, and reassuring developers that RIM still loves them.

The YouTube video, titled "Devs, BlackBerry Is Going To Keep On Loving You" is a cover of REO Speedwagon's Keep On Loving You, but with the words changed to classic such as "The launch is just ahead", "we'll have BlackBerry 10, both in full touch and QWERTY editions" and "our updated SDK is really cool"

Electric Pig said "it’s like something out of The Office. It’s so Dad-rock it’s painful; someone at RIM’s turned the crazy right up to eleven."

It can't be easy being RIM at the moment.
