Electronic Arts (EA) has released The Sims Bowling game for the iPod.

The new title, which the game publisher announced it would make available for the iPod in May, is available now through iTunes where it costs £3.99.

Sims Bowling lets iPod users put their simulated characters through a bowling tournament. Players use the iPod click wheel to control, aim, adjust power, add spin and throw the ball.

EA promises vibrant graphics, multiple game modes and high-quality sound effects. Other game modes include the 'Sims Life' popularity contest and two player play.

The publisher has three additional iPod games scheduled for release across the coming year, but hasn't yet said which other titles it plans to release for Apple's media players.
