is offering iPhone and iPod touch users free internet access using its network of 3,500 WiFi hotspots for the next three months.

Brandon Meyers, vice president of marketing for, said: “Advanced WiFi devices such as the iPhone and iPod touch are making free and available wireless internet access a ‘must have’ for the mobile consumer. By opening up our network for this three month period, we are giving consumers over 3,500 additional locations where they can access the content and services they want without having to either pay for that connection or watch advertisements.”

Usually, in order to gain access to’s free wireless internet service, users must watch an advertisement.

He continued, “We feel that our pan-European network especially supports the business traveller who is continually roaming across networks and incurring additional fees for data usage.”
Meyers concluded by saying that the company expects to have over 5,000 such HotSpots across Europe by the end of the year.
