SubRosaSoft has released a free utility for digital music users, MusicRenamer 2.0.

MusicRenamer renames MP3, AAC, M4P and M4A files in a consistent format to keep your music library organised. It's now a Universal binary build for Intel and PowerPC based Mac OS X computers and the latest version supports customisation of the naming conventions.

Users can rename their songs with combinations of the artist's name, album name, track number, song title, composer and genre in an order they specify.

MusicRenamer is free of charge and may be freely distributed. However, those who choose to use the application are being ask to make a donation to "" (giving children from low-income families across the US the chance to read and own their first new books.)
