eCamm Network has released an updated version of its video conferencing software, iChatUSBCam.

The software lets Macs and iChat AV work with other third-party USB webcams. It's an iChat AV add-on that means your Apple web conferencing software will work with cameras from makers other than Apple. It costs $9.95.

The software also works with Macs that don't meet Apple's system requirements for video conferencing with iChat. For example, with iChatUSBCam, you can use a Logitech QuickCam for video chat, or an iSight on 500MHz iBook. It also lets users employ a digital video camera on a G3 Mac.

A demo is available.
