TerraTec Electronic has introduced its Noxon 2 radio for iPod.
The player combines an iPod docking station with wireless internet radio, a built-in podcast receiver, a USB port, the capacity to play music from a hard drive and an FM radio.
The radio hosts an integrated 2.1 speaker system and is compatible with existing wireless standards.
As well as playing music from and charging up an iPod, the device is capable of receiving and playing from among 10,000 internet radio stations. It has station presets and can also memorise particular podcast feeds.
The USB port lets users play music from external hard drives, and also allows users to connect the system to larger sets of powered speakers. The system also hosts a line-out and a digital-our port, along with a headphone socket.
The Noxon 2 ships with an infrared remote control and also hosts full on-body controls. Functions are represented on an LCD display. The product can handle most common music formats (including WMA 10) and all three major computing platforms: Mac, Linux and Windows.
Noxon2 for iPod will be available at the end of June and is set to cost £249.99 (including VAT).
