Apple CEO Steve Jobs isn't the world's richest billionaire, but he is among the most famous, according to Forbes' annual billionaires list.

"Perennially clad in a uniform of black turtleneck and jeans, Steve Jobs enjoys cultish celebrity status among fans of Apple, the computer company he founded in 1976. Jobs, worth $5.7 billion, has been touted as a creative mastermind thanks to Apple's uber-successful launch of the iPod and this year's announcement of the much-anticipated iPhone," the report observes.

Forbes adds that while the top-placed billionaries in its list are rich, they lack such fame. "Only a tiny fraction of billionaires hit it big on both counts, enjoying enormous wealth and fame," the report says.

Jobs takes 132nd place in the list.
