A leaked photo supposedly depicting the SIM card tray of Apple’s iPhone 5S suggests the device may come in an array of different colours.

Straying from the traditional black and white schemes that Apple has incorporated on previous models, these SIM trays seem to be in gold and grey. Whereas the gold colour is attractive and seemly, the grey colour is not as glossy as previous iPhones.

The leaked photo of the Nano SIM slot looks to be in an identical card to that which features on the current iPhone 5.

As the Apple’s latest iPod touch launch saw the introduction of several new colours of the device, which was previously available in only Black and White, it’s not out of the question for the company to do the same for its next iPhone. An analyst has suggested that it could be available in up to eight colours.

UK-based designer, Stuart Hughes recently unveiled his £10 Million iPhone, which he made from solid, 24ct gold.

Coined by Hughes himself as the “world’s most expensive phone,” it took nine weeks to create, and it was done completely by hand.

The home button has been replaced by a 26t ct flawless black diamond and the chassis was inlaid with 600 white diamonds.

The Apple logo on the rear of the device was inlaid with 53 diamonds. The project was commissioned by a Chinese businessman who already owned the black diamond.

There is also a less expensive solid gold iPhone at a mere £21,995.

Latest reports concerning the release date of the 5S suggest that it may be delayed due to development issues surrounding the fingerprint sensor.

As Apple has not yet commented on whether the iPhone 5S will come in a variety of colours, it’s safe to assume the contrary for now.
