Logitech is getting ready launch an keyboard cover that turns the iPad mini into a small laptop-esque device. All those people wondering what an Apple netbook would be like might be about to get their chance to find out.

The Ultrathin Keyboard Cover for iPad mini is described as a "slim protective keyboard cover designed to enhance the iPad mini experience". It is similar in function to Logitech's Ultrathin Keyboard for iPad, which is one of the better iPad keyboards.

The Ultrathin Keyboard for iPad mini is similar in size to the larger iPad version that Logitech has been selling for a while, although it comes in a bit cheaper at £69.95. Like the Smart Cover it attaches via integrated magnets with the same on/off function of the Smart Cover, and it consists of a slim aluminium cover with pressable keys that Logitech are referring to as 'EasyType'. It's powered by batteries but Logitech claims that it has a three month lifespan (based upon two hours of usage per day).

Like all keyboards it connects to the iPad mini via Bluetooth and switches itself on and off using the same magnets.
