The Macworld Express app has been nominated for the Best Use of Mobile 2012 in the 2012 AOP Digital Publishing Awards.

The AOP Digital Publishing awards recognises the best contributions to digital publishing across the industry. Macworld UK's publisher IDG UK also been shortlisted by AOPs judges for the best Digital Publisher 2012. IDG also publishers PC Advisor, iPad & iPhone User, Techworld, Computerworld, CIO, CFO and a host of other highly respected business titles.

Mark Hattersley, Macworld UK's editor in chief said: "We are extremely proud to hear that our Macworld Express app has been nominated for an award. There are a lot of extremely creative people working on the Macworld team, and they worked exceptionally hard on crafting the iPad app. We were always overjoyed with the end result, and we do it first and foremost to make our readers happy, but it's always a good feeling to get recognition from the  industry we work in".

We launched the Macworld Express app for iPad in August 2011, and it has now been nominated for the best Use of Mobile award by the Association of Online Publishers’ panel of judges.

The winners of the AOP Awards will be announced on 19 June.
