MEDL Mobile have introduced Note to Haiti for iPhone and iPod touch.
The application aims to offer comfort to people who wish to send prayers and good will messages to those caught up in the disaster.
A devastating 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti earlier this month, including the densely populated capital Port-Au-Prince and the surrounding area with thousands suspected dead and many more in need of help.
"Note to Haiti was developed by MEDL Mobile after we recognised an overwhelming number of prayers for Haiti in our app called Note to God," MEDL notes.
"Faced with immeasurable devastation and difficult trials ahead, we offer this simple app as a means for people to give their wishes to the nation of Haiti."
Available from the Apple iTunes App Store, Note to Haiti is free and requires the iPhone 3.1.2 Software Update or later.
Those wishing to give financial support, can do so via the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), an umbrella organisation for 13 humanitarian aid agencies.
The DEC consists of Action Aid, British Red Cross, CAFOD, CARE International UK, Christian Aid, Concern Worldwide, Help the Aged, Islamic Relief, Merlin, Oxfam, Save the Children, Tearfund, World Vision.
The DEC is also supported by a network of television and radio broadcasters, the banks, the Post Office, BT, regional and national press and a range of organisations in the corporate sector.
The total donated to the DEC Haiti Earthquake Appeal so far has now reach £58m, but more funds are urgently needed.
