Professor Brian Cox, OBE, the popular presenter of hit BBC2 series Wonders of the Solar System, will be appearing at the Apple Store in Covent Garden tonight to talk about his new iBook, which accompanies the series.
Cox is a particle physicist, a Royal Society research fellow, and a professor at the University of Manchester as well as researcher on one of the most ambitious experiments on Earth, the ATLAS experiment on the Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland.
The Wonders of the Solar System promises to explore everything from the giant ice fountains of Enceladus to the liquid methane seas of Titan and from storms twice the size of the Earth to the tortured moon of Io with its giant super-volcanoes.
Additionally, he was also the keyboard player in the UK pop band D:Ream in the 1990s.
Cox will be chatting to BBC Radio 6 Music's Shaun Keaveny, before participating in a Q&A with the audience.
The event takes place tonight, Wednesday 17 November at 7 pm. Apple adds: "Please note that spaces are limited, customers should arrive early to avoid disappointment."
