Russian online film and video conversion service Movavi Onlinehas introduced new tools for users.

Movavi is a web-based service that enables users to download and convert video between formats. The free service will now download and convert video from YouTube, MetaCafe and MySpace. No software download is required.

As well as personal video stored on a local computer, the service also lets users download and convert video from YouTube, Google, MySpace, MetaCafe and other video-sharing sites.

The service can convert Adobe Flash videos and also convert video found online into AVI, MP4, MPG, 3GP or other formats for use with iPod, iPhone or other devices. Users can also merge several videos into one large movie.

Movavi offers widgets for Facebook, Google, Mac OS X, and the Firefox, Internet Explorer and Opera browsers. These widgets embed a line of code into existing websites so site owners can offer video conversion services from their own pages.

Once a user has found a video they wish to convert they must navigate to the service's front page, choose the desired output format and offer an email address. When converion is complete the service will contact a user to let them know the converted file is available for download.

Movavi also offers Movavi Video Converter, a $29.95 downloadable product that adds a range of additional conversion formats and lets users merge multiple video files into a single movie, rip DVDs, and extract soundtracks from video files.

Movavi VideoSuite ($59.95), converts video clips and movies from one format to another; saves video and DVD files to iPod, iPhone, PSP, PDA and mobile phones; splits and splices video files; adds filters and special effects; fixes videos that are too light or too dark; updates old movies with professional filters; rips, backs up and copies DVDs; and burns data, audio and video files to DVD, VCD and SVCD.
