MTV is expanding its experiments in digital broadcasting by releasing an entire series of shows for through iTunes US before broadcasting them on its own channel.

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that MTV will release the entire season of The Andy Milonakis Show through iTunes – a full month before the new series premieres on its channel.

The show began as an internet transmission before MTV picked it up for broadcast on MTV2, meaning it has a cult following that may be interested in buying the series through Apple's digital media service.

A promotional campaign featuring viral clips is also planned. The premiere will be made available this week through iTunes US.
