The iPad will come in 24-carat gold, but only if you happen to be a guest at a extravagant hotel in Dubai.

A luxury hotel in Dubai has taken a huge step towards the ultimate in opulence and provided guests with 24-carat gold iPads.

As well as being dipped in gold, each iPad is engraved with the Burj Al Arab hotel's logo.

These iPads are offered to guests at check in and can be used as a "virtual concierge", according to Travel Weekly.

Guests can also use the golden iPads to attain information about the hotel's services, restaurant menus and its spa options.

The hotel's general manager Heinrich Morio revealed that the hotel has recently introduced Macs in each suite, in order to "ensure that we offer thoroughly modern guest experiences and keep up with hospitality industry trends."

The hotel will also offer 24-carat gold iPads, which are created by Gold & Co. London, for purchase from its boutique.
