Three is offering the Galaxy S4 for free from £35 per month. This is a 24 month contract with all-you-can-eat data, 500 minutes and 5,000 texts. The Galaxy S4 is free on The One Plan which starts at £37 per month.

Meanwhile, the Carphone Warehouse is tempting customers with the promise of a free tablet and accessories to go with the Galaxy S4. The first 2,000 people to pre-order online will get a free Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) and an accessory bundle including a case and screen protector.

Deals at the Carphone Warehouse, for a free Galaxy S4, start at £41 per month. The SIM-free price for the Galaxy S4 is a whopping £629, around £100 more than its rivals like the iPhone 5HTC One and Sony Xperia Z.

Graham Stapleton, Chief Operating Officer at Carphone Warehouse, said: "When the handset launches on 26 April we're expecting our stores to be busier than at the height of the Christmas period, not least because we've got the widest range of networks available in the UK ensuring the best deals. We are planning to extend opening hours at our larger sites to cope with customer demand for the Samsung Galaxy S4."

To rival the Carphone Warehouse's offer, Phones 4U is giving away £100 vouchers for the Google Play Store to spend on apps, games and other content for Galaxy S4 pre-orders. Customers can also have the chance to win a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and Galaxy Camera every day. Contact prices with a free phone match Carphone Warehouse at £41 per month.
