UK retail giant Tesco is expanding the number of its stores hosting Apple zones.
Following a succesful trial in Milton Keynes last year, the company launched dedicated Apple zones – selling Macs, iPods and other Apple products – in a total of twelve UK stores, including the Tesco Homeplus store in Chelmsford, just before Christmas.
The Apple zones offer over 75 Apple products and related accessories and boast trained Apple and Tesco staff.
Matt Leeser, consumer electronics buyer for Tesco, said: "Customers have responded really well to our Kingston Apple Area. They have enjoyed the shopping experience and the support of trained staff on hand. Partnering with key electronic brands such as Apple reflects our increasing presence and credibility in the electrical market."
Tesco has recently refreshed its in-store home entertainment sections and plans further focus on offering digital-lifestyle products in future.
