While Britney Spears seems to be suffering a downward spiral, her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake has claimed an iTunes record, flogging 50,000 copies of his available through iTunes-only video within four days.

The singer premiered his 'What Goes Around Comes Around' video through the iTunes Store on 9 February, within a few days sales had surpassed the 50,000-mark, his record label claims.

The nine minute version of Timberlake's video promo was produced by Sam Bayer, who has also worked with ranking artists, such as Metallica, Smashing Pumpkins, David Bowie, Aerosmith and Green Day.

It's another entry in Timberlake's line of success through Apple's media service, which includes 252,000 sales of his single, 'SexyBack' within a week in August, driving the US artist to seize a place among the top downloads through iTunes last year.
