Apple has published a short collection of images taken at giant European broadcast and movie conference, International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) this weekend.

The show is the key annual event for professionals in those fields and runs until September 13. It boast 45,000 square metres of exhibition space, over 1,000 exhibitors and 40,000 visitors each year.

It appears Apple's technologies, including Final Cut Pro Studio and its Xserve/Xserve RAID combo, are the talk of the show. Apple's images reveal that: "For much of the show Apple's booth was standing room only".

Apple today also confirmed that the BBC has adopted a workflow based on Final Cut Pro and Xsan as part of its 'Creative Desktop' software, which can be used by all the BBC's production units. This follows the BBC's success using the technologies in delivering the second series of the BBC's "Full on Food" series on a reduced budget.

Apple's image gallery also includes some information concerning third party companies offering Mac broadcast and movie solutions.

Blackmagic Design used the event to demonstrate its new range of Decklink video capture cards for the Mac.

Building4Media showed its solutions for editing footage in newsrooms and production environments.

AJA demonstrated Kona LH, its unique capture card that provides both an HD and an SD analogue and digital I/O.
