Apple may have multiple strategies to ensure iTunes has a part in the new world order of mobile music, if that vision gains traction.

One short report on a blog this morning describes an early build of iTunes for Windows Mobile 5.0.

The report, which Macworld UK has been unable to verify, claims the test software is in development. If true, it would mean Apple may soon be able to benefit from Microsoft's foray into powering mobile phones with its software.

The report includes images and describes the software as being almost feature complete, but offers no idea of any release date for the software.
