Thu, 23 Sep 2004 Green Day offer own-brand CD-Rs
Legendary US hardcore rock band Green Day are selling own-branded CD-Rs to fans who want to burn digital versions of their albums.
The five collectible CD-Rs are intended to be used to store Green Day music. They feature classic, full-colour artwork from Green Day albums Dookie, Nimrod, Warning and their new album American Idiot – due to be released in the UK soon. The CD-R pack comes with a rare photo of the band and coordinated colour slimline cases.
US Fans will be able to purchase the CDs through Apple's iTunes Music Store – this feature does not seem to be available on the UK store as yet. The Green Day CD-R 5 Pack is also available online at greendaymusic.com for $7.99 plus free shipping.
Green Day's American Idiot is Today's Top Song on the UK store.
