Mon, 13 Jun 2005 Wrigley's confirms giant iPod give-away
In a giant promotion Wrigley's Extra this month will launch a giant digital music give-away in association with Apple.
The prizes are only available to UK and Republic of Ireland gum-chewers, the company will give away 10,000 iPods and over 90,000 other prizes, including front row gig tickets, online album vouchers and £5 iTunes vouchers, the company told Macworld.
The promotion will run across the entire Extra chewing gum and Extra mints range. 5,000 20GB iPods and 5,000 iPod shuffles will be given away during the campaign, which launches this month and claims will be honoured until December 31.
Wrigley Company marketing director Ian Bray said: “As the leader in the UK breath freshening business, the Extra brand is continually seeking ways of rewarding and connecting with its consumers. The iPod promotion harnesses the power of music and technology, as well as giving consumers a genuine chance of winning an attractive prize.”
Prizes can be claimed through the promotional website, www.closertomusic.com. Wrigley's is also offering a daily prize draw through the site.
